- "Dear Committee Members" by Julie Schumacker (2014). Funny, touching, thought provoking . Told in a series of letters (epistolary novel; it's a look at the life of a college professor, changes in academia & myths. The Discussion was held in a High School cafeteria. - "The Battle of Versailles" by Robin Givhan (2015). A look at the 1973 fashion industry in a historical and cultural context. The rags to multi-dollar industry, a statement of social change taking place. What goes into a creation of a dress? The Discussion was held in a retail dress shop. - "The Water Knife" by Paolo Bacigalupi (2015) This is an eco thriller. What would happen if California ran out of water? The discussion took place at a Water Services Department with a Water Services employee. (You will find this at the library: SCI-FIC BACIGALUPI)
- "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" by Caitlin Doughty (2014). Examines the philosophy of American death. The discussion was held in a funeral home with the funeral director. (You will find this at the library: BIO DOUGHTY)
